How to Get to
Taconic State Park

The two largest major U.S. cities close to Taconic State Park are New York City and Boston. For those coming from New York City, begin the route by getting onto FDR Dr. from Spruce St and Frankfort St. Continue along FDR Dr. Next, you will want to travel along I-87 N, Sprain Brook Pkwy N, and Taconic State Parkway N to 2/Jackson Corners Rd. The final step is to take Co Rte 7 and County Rd 7 to NY-344 E in Copake Falls. 

If you are coming from Boston, start the drive by getting onto I-93 S from Sudbury St. The second step is to follow I-90 W to NY-22 S in Canaan and get off at exit B3 when it comes up. Lastly, all you have to do is take NY-22 S to NY-344 E in Copake Falls.

Guests are welcome to bring two pets to the park. Pets are allowed in the campsites and day-use areas unless prohibited by a sign. Park rules mandate that dogs must be under your supervision and on a 6-foot leash at all times. You must also provide proof of your furry companion's rabies vaccination upon request.
